Hello!

A Storm Is Coming

Well, here’s my first ever post on my first ever blog (so far, so good!). I’ve run a couple of websites in the past so I’m hoping that what I’ve learnt will stand me in good stead even though I know blogs are very different to websites, the basics are close enough that I should be able to pick it up quite quickly.

Right, down to business. I am Peter Needham, I’m 33 and I live in Romiley which is in the North West of England. I have been interested in photography since I was old enough to hold a camera but I have really got into it in the last few years and I hope someday to earn a living from it but I would settle for enough money to cover the cost of the equipment! Whenever I’m not taking photos, I’ll usually be found in my workshop making something from wood. I am an artisan woodturner but I can turn my hand to most forms of woodwork from cabinetmaking to structural carpentry. I have had my woodturnings and artwork in several galleries and it has made its way into private collections all over the world.

I set up this blog in the hope that I can display my photography, woodwork and art all in one place and share it with anyone who might like to see it.

I’ve got a lot of plates spinning at the moment so I’ll get this blog up and running as fast as I can but in the meantime, you can look for my stuff on Flickr and Redbubble. Just type either site into Google and add Wild Scorpio.
